Sites to see

Waedenswil has beautiful views of the lake and mountains as well as its own vineyards and orchards. The following places are all worth visiting:

• gardens, including the peony collection, on the Grüental campus (near the conference hall)
• ruins of a medieval castle (15 minutes’ walk from the conference venue)
• wine museum and peninsula in Au (5 minutes by train)
• Benedictine abbey and famous pilgrimage destination in Einsiedeln (20 minutes by train)

Different kinds of peonies from all over the world (NB in flower only to the end of May) can be admired at the Grüental Campus gardens. Look out for the meadow flowers as well as the medical (and witches’) herbs too.
